About this role

We are looking for an engineer who understands what it means to discover and build scalable market leading services and products. This means being able to work across the entire stack when needed, communicating effectively with key stakeholders and setting the long-term technical direction for new products and features.

We are looking for someone who gets excited by leading projects through setting technical direction and mentoring those around them. Key Responsibilities

You will be a critical contributor to the Agile software development lifecycle and be familiar with DevOps/Continuous Integration and production deployment processes.
Analyse system requirements and develop technical design.
Identify technical improvements that will benefit the platform.
Provide input to or develop business systems solutions, estimates and specifications.
Become a proficient user of our technology stack: Python, Django, Django REST Framework, and Postgres.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years professional experience with Python, Django, Django REST framework and Postgres.
A degree in computer science, engineering, or another related field.
Strong problem solving and lateral thinking abilities.
Experience with at least one statically typed language.
A record of mentoring experienced engineers around you and helping them grow.
Experience with a passion for building scalable and performant APIs.
Understanding of microservice architecture and its associated challenges.
Thorough understanding of common design patterns and principles from a software architecture perspective.
Competence with SciPy, NumPy and Pandas.
Experience writing typed Python code.
Experience with writing unit tests using Python’s Unit testing framework.
Competence with Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab.
A solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform and experience with;
Building infrastructure yamls
Ingress, egress, and GCPs Managed Certificates
Experience with GCP Networking and Load Balancers
Administering SQL Instances
Experience building CICD pipelines using GitLab and GCP’s Cloudbuild.
Strong experience with Celery and building distributed applications.
Competence with RabbitMQ and Redis at scale.
A solid grasp of secure coding practices.
Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast paced high stakes environment.
Experience getting the most out of Postgres and Full Text Searching.

A home software engineering challenge exercise.
1-hour video interview with two Credfin senior engineers.
1-hour video final round video interview
